Getting Ready for the Theater

This year my Christmas presents from Tommy were tickets to The Perfect American at the Teatro Real, which is about the life of Walt Disney, and tickets to El Rey Lion (The Lion King). I have never been inside the Teatro and am SO SO SO EXCITED to actually get to see a production there! Today I finally found a dress...

I swear this picture doesn't do it justice :)

Outside My Window

Unfortunately this picture does not do the sunrise today justice, but it was so incredible that you will just have to believe me. I have never seen a sunrise with all the reds oranges and purples usually seen at sunset!!

Magdelenas/Muffins/Cupcakes

While the cupcake craze has come and faded in the states in the last few years, the Spanish are just starting to get into it. Not only is the designer cupcake new here but also cupcakes in general. This standard for every 1st graders classroom birthday, is making its first real appearance here in Madrid. As if it is not bad enough that Spaniards have been missing out on cupcakes for all this time, they also do not have a word for them! They are most commonly called "Magdelenas" or "Muffins" (which is the litteral translation of Magdelena)  but I am trying to get all my Spanish friends to call them cupcakes all the same! These are the CUPCAKES Luisa and I made today

These are a special recipe form the Canarie Islands called CayCay, fusion food at its finest!

The Dancing Washing Machine

While I love how much fun my washing machine has cleaning my towels, next time I would appreciate it if it would spare my drying wine glass!!!!
